I have noticed that another topic has been started with a similar theme, so rather than kill that thread, and considering that I couldn't discover a way to link to this topic on the new one, I thought I would just resurrect this one.
Anyway - some things never change. (except that I misspelt chastise).

for instance, if you go to a meeting and haven't been there for ages.
your stand up during the song and suddenly what seems like the whole cong gets afflicted with the jw stare.
The jw Stare? Ha! It pales into insignificance when compared to the Apostate Stare that I have developed.
The AS cuts to the very bone and conveys the message that I am aware of your puny jw stare and what it conveys and that I am disgusted by your continued adherance to the jw mindset. Most times they turn tail and run. Very few people can outstare the almighty cheeses.
Presently I am working on the Stare and Glare which will compel all recipients to momentarily lose all control of their bowel movements. Should be an interesting development.

That is true, but if the long were to be capitalized that would negate some of the deep thought required to reach a decision about whether the written words are a statement or possibly a question. Sure, I know a question needs a question mark, but...........

i know a lot of lurkers are probably looking for good excuses and would like a list they could refur to..
Too hot,
too cold,
too wet,
too windy,
too sunny,
too tired,
too sick,
too lazy,
and too wise to deal with any of that crap.
Why be concerned about an excuse? If you neither want, nor feel like going - then just stay home and attend to more important matters. Really there can be no other activities of lesser relevance than jw meetings or 'preaching' work.

i can honestly say that there aren't many that i truly hate.
however, there is a small list.
it used to contain only two people, but a third is making it's way on that list.
Why all of the negative words over a little bit of hatred? It's just a feeling. Not much effort required.
Get some hate in your life - it may do you the world of good. You may come to love hate.
My hatred of fellow humans is directed to one individual - my wife's father. A from birth jw. Control freak. A two-faced lowlife piece of worthless shit with no other interest in life apart from the "truth".
But. Being a more compassionate person than iiz2cool, I would piss on him if I were to find him on fire. Only one condition though - that I could piss petrol.
I do not feel that my hatred is all consuming, taking up precious time, or whatever. I just hate him. That is how I feel about him, for, to me, very justifiable reasons. Apart from that feeling, he and I have no association, contact, or even mention in conversation. I cannot see how even his death (oh glory be the day) could separate me from this hatred. Some people just deserve to be hated. That's how they happen to be.
